Santa Teresa and Hermosa Beach are famous for their constant great waves. We are blessed with swells year-round, smaller waves for beginners and over-head barrels for pros! Gero, a short 5 minute walk north of Pranamar is one of the best surf spots in this area. There are also many other surf spots where visits can be arranged to if you would like to try somewhere different. If you wish to take a surf lesson or rent a board to try on your own, please let us know and the front desk will work out all the details.

Come learn and enjoy the fastest growing Water Sport in the world. SUP, or "Stand Up Paddle Boarding" is very enjoyable, relaxing and is a great "All Body Workout.” It's not difficult to learn, anyone at any level can give it a try. You will learn all the fundamentals and techniques involved in Paddle Boarding, and also everything you need to know about the equipment. We will paddle down towards the famous “Cabo Blanco Reserve” where you will get a wonderful perspective of the Reserve from the water, with amazing views. The tour lasts just over an hour. The best times to enjoy this Paddle Board tour is either in the morning between 7:00 and 9:00 am or in the late afternoon between 3:30 and 4:30 pm.

On the tree tops of the dense Malpais forest, 9 platforms were built, linked by zip lines to let you go in an adrenaline rush way, the views of the incredible nature of the forest going from the tree tops to the ground. On the other hand we have an exciting circuit with 9 cables distributed across 13 platforms that will take you through the mountains of Montezuma. From the air, you’ll enjoy the adrenaline and see the richness of wildlife found in Costa Rica from panoramic viewpoints, with the Pacific Ocean in the foreground. Also you will visit famous waterfalls, where you can take photos or swim in the natural pools that the waterfalls have carved out.

Malpais Canopy Schedule: 9 am / 11 am / 3 pm

Montezuma Canopy Schedule: 9 am / 1 pm / 3 pm

Starting at $330 for 2 people + transportation

Depending on the conditions of the ocean and the preferences of our guests, we offer 3 different kinds of fishing options plus snorkelling in the very best spots in the area. You can do trolling, casting or dip bottom fishing in the beautiful clear waters of the Peninsula, keeping high the chances for you to come back with dinner! Enjoy the direct contact with the abundant marine life and lush tropical ambience. Our experienced captain and guide will take you through and amazing journey, explaining the conditions of the fishing at the time, the best options to do and where to go. This tour also gives you the chance to witness beautiful views of the landscape ad unique perspective of the Peninsula. The tour includes all the professional equipment but if you have your own please feel free to bring it. The tour also includes a small ice cooler with some water, drinks, beer and fruits.

Length of Tour: 4 hours (for a longer tour add $60/hour)

Come take a horseback ride through Ario Ranch, where they have the best horses in the area. This is a family owned and operated ranch protecting one of Costa Rica’s most important watersheds including key turtle nesting habitat and the Caletas-Ario National Wildlife Refuge. Enjoy a natural landscape of rivers, mountains and beaches accompanied by local cowboys maintaining local customs and traditions. Learn the names of the flora and fauna from the vantage point of your saddle. Witness the spectacular sunsets that grace the area with your family and friends. Rides are suitable for children ages 10 or older. Leave feeling connected, content and part of the Ario Ranch Experience. This tour is perfect for both first timers and experienced riders.

Departure times: 8 am / 2:30 pm (Sunset Tour)

What to bring: long pants, closed shoes, insect repellent, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and some cash (if you feel like a drink to cool down at the local cantina)

The tour to Tortuga Island, in the Gulf of Nicoya, it’s a one day & all-inclusive activity. The boat departs from Montezuma beach every day at 9am and travels along the beautiful coast for 50 minutes approximately. During this time, you might be able to watch dolphins, manta rays and turtles. Upon arrival in the paradisiacal island, 2 snorkeling dives are included in 2 different spots (scuba diving available too). After snorkeling, you will be taken to the wonderful white sand beach of Tortuga where lunch will be ready. Fish, chicken and vegetarian options are available. You will have time to rest on the beach and swim in the quiet turquoise waters... Drinks and fruits are included thought the day.

$12 per person for park entrance + Tour guide (price depend on how many people and length/time of walk)

This is a tour for nature lovers! With its unique combination of climate and geographical location, Cabo Blanco ranks among the most beautiful nature reserves in the country. During this hike, you will witness how a land once dedicated to cattle and agriculture can regenerate into its original forest. Choose from a short walk of 2 hours or the long trail of 5.5hours, those willing to do the long trail get ready for some physical challenge and rewarding views. Our local guide will take you through the Park: this was the first protected area in Costa Rica and thus one of the most important ones, proving that nature will always find its way through. This park has a variety of species characteristic of the dry forest and tropical rain forest, giving the visitors the opportunity of finding many birds, mammals, reptiles, trees and plants from both ecosystems. This tour is very rich in naturalist content.

The park is closed Mondays & Tuesdays – booking a day or two in advance is recommended.

If you are doing the longer hike you should also bring lunch, the restaurant at the Hotel would be happy to prepare lunch to go – please confirm this with the front desk when you book the tour.

Your visit to Costa Rica is not complete without a visit to Montezuma. This small town offers visi tors many activities and diverse, beautiful natural surroundings to enjoy. On this half‐day tour, you will experience a great combination of activities. First you will face the challenge of swinging from one tree to another on one of the most beautiful zip lines in the country, enjoy the view of the landscape from a unique perspective on top of the amazing trees in the forest. Then take a ride on your ATV through the mountains on dirt roads, reaching the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula where you will discover empty white sand beaches and the village of Montezuma. Here you will take a short hike to the amazing waterfalls where you can take a refreshing swim in the natural pools and then enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch in one of the best local restaurants of the area. In the town of Montezuma, you will also find many souvenirs from local artisans.

Departure time: 8:30 am from Pranamar

Length of tour: 5 hours

These treatments will focus on specific areas of your body, allowing for deeper release and relaxation for distinct problems.


Our oils and lotions are 100% organic, made in Costa Rica.  A combination of our therapeutic grade essential oils are added together to maximize the goals of your session.


Please appreciate that we are flexible where possible, but have many appointments therefore:

  • Allow 6 hours minimum notice for any cancellation, or you will be charged 50% of your scheduled treatment.

  • For “no show” to an appointment you will be charged 100% of your scheduled treatment.

  • Please be prompt for your massage: late arrivals will unfortunately mean less time for the massage.

  • Have at least 1 hour between a meal and your treatment.

  • As a courtesy to your therapist, please rinse/shower before all treatments.
