the yoga space
Pranamar’s Yoga Shala is absolutely breath taking - it is open on three sides allowing the sea breeze, ocean song and jungle music to come right on in. Built with beautiful teak floors, high bamboo ceilings and antique Javanese doors, this fully-equipped sacred space is unforgettable. The space comfortably accommodates up to 50 students, spacious and inviting - it truly is one of Costa Rica’s most inspiring studios.

YOGA UNION RETREATS was founded by Taelor Gray + Katrina Wynn, close friends and business partners, with a commitment to something greater. Together, the goal is to embark on a journey of self care, hopefulness and opportunity for growth. We invite you to join us and experience the healing benefit of movement while nourishing your body and finding simplicity; a journey that can truly transform your life.
This year we are extremely excited to have Sarah Steckman, as our guest instructor. Sarah is infectious, fun loving and an amazing addition to our team. Her hunger to expand her knowledge and deepen her practice is inspiring to us all!
Seeking balance in her life, Katrina found herself taking her first Yoga Class in 2010 where her real yoga journey began. Instantly feeling a strong connection to herself and to yoga practice, she became a regular practitioner. As her focus shifted and her self awareness grew, her life dramatically changed. Katrina finally began to feel a sense of peace, inner stillness and joy, discovering the balance she had been seeking, developing a strong connection to inner self.
Passionate about yoga, she knew it would remain forever in her heart and life. Feeling drawn to go deeper, Katrina attended her first Teacher Training in 2012. She began teaching, and continued to study in California and Thailand. As she began to explore other styles of yoga practice and took her Yin Yoga certification. Feeling called to hold space for her community to heal through the power of yoga, Katrina opened her own yoga studio in 2015. She is the founder and current studio owner of Yoga Union in Tsawwassen, BC, Canada, where she continues to learn and grow on the journey of self realization.
Yoga has given Sarah the gift of learning to live in the moment as it is. The power of conscious breath has helped her act with awareness and grace through some of the most challenging moments life has to offer. In 2008, Sarah graduated with her 500hr teacher training from Shakti Mhi at Prana Yoga College, including Yin training with Bernie Clarke and Kundalini YTT with Gloria Latham. With great respect for foundation and alignment Sarah teaches both an energy-based practice to strengthen the body and free the mind, as well as a loving and gentle practice to nourish mind, body and spirit. Sarah believes breath is the music that allows the body to dance through a moving meditation and encourages students to let go of their story and connect with their true essence. With a constant hunger to expand her knowledge and deepen her meditation practice, you can expect Sarah to continuously be evolving with passion and joy. “Life is meant to be lived.”
Taelor started her yoga journey in the fall of 2010 when a new studio opened just minutes from home. After attending the open house and purchasing an introductory package, it didn’t take long until she became hooked and yoga started to change her life.
Taelor began to expand her knowledge and practice as much as her schedule would allow. The more classes she attended, the more she fell in love with the practice and taking care of herself. After attending her first Yoga Teacher Training in California she has never looked back; she went on to take Bernie Clark's Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Vancouver, travel around the world sharing her love for yoga and open her own studio in 2015.
Taelor is a co-founder of Yoga Union in Tsawwassen, BC Canada where she continues to teach and practice. The balance and clarity she has found through her yoga practice has overfilled into all areas of her life: she fully credits yoga for allowing her to keep up with her other loves of running, cycling, strength training, etc. Taelor fully believes yoga is for anyone and everyone, you just have to be willing to try!
